Please join us for Lifemark Health Group’s annual employer conference. For this year’s event, we’re doing a deep dive into the changing nature of work and bringing you leading edge experts from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, including Dr. James Makokis of the Saddle Lake Cree First Nation and winner of Amazing Race Season 7, Liz Horvath of the Mental Health Commission of Canada and Alan Hense of the Worker’s Compensation Board.

About this event

Lifemark’s annual employer conference gathers industry leaders and allows experts across Canada to share their knowledge and insights about current issues challenging today's workplace, helping guide your policy development and best practices. Our theme this year is:  A Deep Dive Into Neglected Issues In Occupational Health

  • The consequences of traumatic and chronic stress on the mental and physical wellbeing of workers. 
  • Factors related to vulnerability that can increase risk of mental harm.
  • How to assess risk from psychosocial workplace factors.
  • How to approach risk assessment in a psychologically safe way.

Fatigue Risk Management in the Workplace -  Guidelines for Fatigue Management: (PART I)

  • Develop a working understanding of the biology/physiology of sleep and circadian factors that are important to physical and mental health.
  • Be able to articulate the health and human performance risks associated with non-standard work hours in safety sensitive environments.
  • Have a working definition of Fatigue and the occupational hazards associated with Fatigue in the workplace such as cardio/metabolic disease, mental illness and occupational injury/disability.

The Canadian Society of Professionals in Disability Management - The CSPDM recognizes that Lifemark Health Group’s 2020 Employer Conferencewill provide an opportunity for CDMP, CRTWC, RRP, RVP and RCSS professionals to receive Continuing Education credit hours. Professionals who attend the full conference and optimize all learning activities may be credited with up to 4.5 Continuing Education credit hours.

Course content, materials and certificate of completion will be made available for Continuing Education Credits for those holding other professional designations.
