Description
Take your lighting up to the next level with the newest addition to our School of Photography classes. After taking this class, lighting will be under your control.
Instructor Ross Den Otter will go over how to light up your shots. He will review white balance and ISO from our Intro class and explain how it is relevant. In addition, he will cover flash essentials, highlights/shadows, how to direct lighting, different kinds of modifiers, how to utilize natural light and portrait lighting setups. This 2-hour class is a mix of lecture, demonstrations and participation.
Broadway Camera offers four School of Photography classes: Introduction to Photography, Judging Exposure, Lighting & Flash Essentials (NEW) and Understanding Composition (COMING SOON). Your choice of two free classes is included with your purchase of a DSLR or mirrorless camera at Broadway Camera.
Lighting & Flash Essentials is also free with your purchase of a flash, strobe or LED light at Broadway Camera.

Is 'Lighting & Flash Essentials' still free if I took 'Introduction to Photography'?
Yes! Enter the same Broadway Camera invoice number that you used for 'Introduction to Photography'.

Yes, you're welcome to bring a friend to class as long as we have room. Please let us know here.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are several bus stops nearby and we are a 5 minute walk from the Broadway-City Hall station on the Canada Line.
If you choose to drive, there is ample street parking on West Broadway and nearby streets.
