Event description

Description

Join Slow Food Calgary and guests for ‘Limits to Local’, an engaging afternoon of presentations and mediated conversations about essential issues facing us all: local food and food security.

Bringing together food producers, academics, right-to-food advocates, eaters, engaged citizens and chefs, this forum, the first in a planned series, will tackle some of the challenging, complex issues surrounding food in our city and region.

‘Limits to Local’ will take place at the theatre in cSPACE/King Edward School, 1721 – 29 th Avenue SW, from 1:30-4:30 PM and tickets are priced at $5.00.

This event will take place just after the weekly Farmers & Makers Market at cSPACE (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Chef Jason Barton- Brown and The Coup restaurant will be using products available at the market to make delicious appetizers for those in attendance. Beverages will also be provided. We encourage all attendees to come early and check out one of Calgary’s best Markets!
