Lindsay Jolly Jog 2020
Event Information
About this Event
With 2020 being such a stressful and uncertain year, KLFS and APCH aim to bring some festivity and family-friendly fun to the coming holiday season!
This year's Jolly Jog is a free event, with a suggested minimum donation of $20 per participant above age 16, in order to be able to receive a charitable tax receipt. This year, we have also introduced a pledge aspect to the event, with all donations raised going to Kawartha Lakes Food Source and A Place Called Home, and therefore helping members of our community in need of food and housing assistance!
The event will look different from previous years, with COVID-19 safety protocols being top of mind.
There are two methods of participation, depending on your comfort level; either an on-location running of our set 5km route, or a self-guided option of your own preferred route! Those electing to participate in the on-location run will receive a start time so that they are able to keep distanced from other participants.
Whether coming out in person or running the self-guided option, make sure to dress up in your most festive costumes to be included in our Best Festive Dressed contest! If running self-guided, just have a photo of you running in your costumes uploaded to the Lindsay Jolly Jog 2020 Facebook Event page by 3pm November 28th!
Santa will be there to cheer on the participants, and those who complete the course will be offered an individually wrapped Christmassy cookie kit for some yummy family fun at home!
Following registration, participants will receive a follow up email containing a printable version of the pledge sheet seen below, as well as timing options for their virtual call with Santa!
Thank you so much for supporting these two worthy causes through this unpredictable year. Let's not let these strange times dampen our festive spirit!
We will also be accepting non-perishable food donations on-location.
