About this Event

From a legendary Jazz family, Dan Brubeck is a Master Jazz Drummer. In addition to the Trio, Dan performs with The Brubeck Brothers and The Dan Brubeck Quartet which was recently nominated for a JUNO Award. The Brubeck brothers quartet is very active and have put out quite a few records which have all been in the top 10 of the Jazz Radio charts in the US. Next year The Brubeck Brothers will be working pretty much nonstop as it’s their Dad’s, legendary Dave Brubeck, Centennial Year. So they will be playing at all the top festivals and venues all over the world including the BBC Proms at Royal Festival Hall which will be broadcast on television throughout Europe in the coming year. They are here to play in advance of that world tour.

The setting is an absolutely remarkable home adjacent Whytecliff Park in Horseshoe Bay where James Clavell wrote "Tai-Pan". This is our first Classical Music offering in the Lions Bay House Concert Series and promises to take your breath away. Seats are limited. SO COME. Bring your favorite drink and a plate of food to share (potluck). Maybe a friend or two or five or six. You definitely want to be in on this one. We are THRILLED and honoured that Dan is bringing his Trio our way.
