Description

LionsBayHouseConcerts: Stephanie Nilles: Complicated Woman

Born in Chicago, now based in New Orleans, Stephanie Nilles is gifted and complicated: She's a blues-jazz scamp. With 5 full-length albums under her belt and averaging 150 shows a year, this seriously talented saloon-happy singer has hustled her way around the United States, Europe, and Canada. She’s studied piano and cello since the age of six, was a gold medalist at the Fischoff Competition, and performed on NPR on three occasions by the age of seventeen. She’s also shared the stage with Bobby McFerrin in Carnegie Hall. This time she'll be bringing trumpet and clarinet playing Thomas Deakin with her. Here’s a taste

The setting is an absolutely remarkable home adjacent Whytecliff Park in Horseshoe Bay where James Clavell wrote "Shogun". Seats are limited. The music direct, the groove strong in a Chicago-NOLA gumbo jazz/punk/barrelhouse style. SO COME. Bring your favorite drink and a plate of food to share (potluck).

See you there!
