Lonesome Club comes to Lions Bay with Winnipeg bluesman Patrick Alexandre in the house!
Chasing big dreams, or girls, or boys is fun. It teaches you about life. And how you'll respond to lots of different situations. But it's what happens AFTER you actually catch something, or someone, that tends to be the most truly interesting, inspiring and vital part of it all. Enter harmonica-playing-guitar-strumming-keyboard-pounding-upright bass-plucking-houndog-bluesman Patrick Alexandre, backed by Dwayne Dueck on guitar and Jeffrey Laird on drums, to tell it like it is. Or ought to be.
And he has plenty of pedigree to do so: he is the boisterous blusey voice and rocking doghouse bass of Winnipeg's Dixie-Billy band, the F-holes and Little Miss Higgins. His latest solo release is "Strange New World".
So pull up your bootstraps (no heels please), dust off your whisky, grab a plate of grub to share and join us at a hilltop home. The winds will be blowin, the rain pounding, the houndogs truth-telling. We may, or may not have power. One thing's for sure : This will be a great one!
Here's a taste.
