LionsBayHouseConcerts:: Concert Sing-Along Inspired by "The Sanders Family Christmas"
There's simply no better way to get in the Christmas spirit than participating in a sing-along inspired by "The Sanders Family Christmas"!
The setting is a North Carolina Baptist Church near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The time is Wednesday night, December 24, 1941. 18 days AFTER Pearl Harbour. America has just entered the WWII and The Sander’s Family is preparing to send one of their own, their only son Denis Sanders, off to war too. Pastor Mervin Oglethorpe and the rest of the Sanders Family reflect and celebrate with touching family stories and southern gospel Christmas song.
Hosted at a private waterfront home overlooking Howe Sound, this mini production and heartfelt sing-a-long is brought to life by the Midnight Theatre Collective, featuring perfomers: Damon Calderwood (Burl Sanders), Gordon Roberts (Stanley Sanders), Lalainia Lindbjerg (Vera Sanders), Matthew Simmons (Denis Sanders), Stephen Bulat (Cousin Clem), Elaine Lindbjerg (Aunt), and Melanie Thompson.
Seats are limited to 40.
Come dressed in period costume if you can, because the audience IS the congregation, and we need your best voice to sing-along. And bring your favorite drink and appetizer to share!
We hope YOU can come celebrate arts and fellowship in our small community!.
