Little Adventurers
Event Information
About this Event
Welcome you all Little Adventurer Guides/Teachers!
The ATA Specialist Council GEOEC (Global, Environmental & Outdoor Education Council), proudly presents "Little Adventurers!". Many teachers go years and years without even knowing what Specialist Councils are and what they offer. This workshop will not only inform you on Specialist Councils, but will provide you with some Monday morning resources!
We are excited to host all K-5 teachers. You big kid teachers are more then welcome to join us as well :) But our focus will be on the younger grade levels.
We know that this year has looked different in so many ways for all teachers across all grades and subjects. We especially know how exhausting it must be for the non-stop go go go world of Elementary. With all the restrictions in place and safety protocols it seems like sometimes we are going through a million hoops before we can even have 30 mins of outdoor time.
Well at this event we want to provide you with resources, support and navigation from some of the top experts in the field! During this workshop we will have guest speakers and time for open sharing of resources and collaboration between participants.
With guest speakers from GEOEC, Inside Education, the Nature Alive Adventures you will be left with a ton of resources, hands on experience learning skills and connections to help support your teaching.
We will be explaining what special councils are and what sign up requires. Did you know that all University students can actually become FREE members! All teachers in the ATA can be a part of one FREE council!
We do encourage all participants to join the ATA Specialist Council - GEOEC (Global, Environmental & Outdoor Education Council). There will be several future events for GEOEC Members only and we would hate to have you miss out!
For more information follow the link below! All active ATA members are entitled to join one Specialist Council of their choice each year at NO cost!
