LIVE AT UBC X HEALTH AND WELLNESS

About this event

Train like a RIDE Instructor. Originally developed by RIDE CYCLE CLUB co-founder and head trainer, Ashley Ander. TRAINING CLUB is a 45-minute off-bike workout that combines repetitive movements, light weights, and conditioning to help tone and strengthen your entire body.

A pillar of the RIDE CYCLE CLUB training program. TRAINING CLUB is the proven method used to prepare our world-class team of instructors for the podium. By combining four basic steps to simulate movements on the bike. TRAINING CLUB teaches riders how to connect with their core, find the beat, and identify the leading leg.

Best experienced in a group, TRAINING CLUB allows riders the freedom to get out of their heads and into their bodies, while still focusing on the core fundamentals of RIDE. We can't wait to train with you.

RIDE will be kicking off the fitness element of the new UBC Point Grey event, UBLVD WKNDS. This monthly event is brought to you by Live at UBC. UBC Point Grey has 6 diverse neighbourhoods to explore and find your temporary or permanent home. This is a place where you can enjoy time with friends focusing on health & wellness, live music, live mural art, games, yummy eats, and some tasty drinks as you get to know University Boulevard! Sit, relax and have some fun.

The full ticket price will be donated to Rainbow Railroad

Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.

As a result of Rainbow Railroad, more LGBTQI+ individuals will be able to access lives free from persecution.

Since their founding, they’ve helped over 3,100 LGBTQI+ individuals find safety through emergency relocation and other forms of assistance.
