Grocery shopping lists will be provided in advance, and the spring roll recipe can be made vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten free. We'll cook together live and participants will have the opportunity to ask Stephanie and Jim questions throughout. About the chefs
Stephanie Lo
Stephanie was born and raised in Toronto, but she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley with High Honours in English and her law degree at the University of Alberta, before settling in Vancouver. Stephanie first gained an interest in family law when she conducted research on family law reform for the Government of Alberta and has practiced family law exclusively since 2018. She specializes in separation, divorce, child protection, adoption, or fertility law. Although Stephanie is based in Vancouver, she assists clients from all over British Columbia. Stephanie also speaks conversational Cantonese and volunteers with the Federal of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL). In her spare time, she enjoys making delicious, pan-fried dumplings from scratch.
Jim Wu
Jim developed a passion for cooking during the first two years of COVID-19. The dish he is proud to be sharing is Hainanese chicken, a Singaporean dish. This is a dish which he has been cooking for over a year now and is a family favourite. Apart from cooking, Jim attempts to balance his job as an employment lawyer for Forte Workplace Law by finding time either in the Brazilian jiu-jitsu mats or with his long-haired German Shepherd.
