Who will be speaking?

Alumni members from our first cohort:

Isaac Jones

Isaac is an engineer who realized relatively quickly that software development is way cooler than mechanical engineering. Isaac has a background in web development and data analysis in the O&G space, and loves solving problems.

Samantha Sam-Inimgba

Samantha is a data analyst with 3 + years experience, she has worked previously in a digital marketing and creative agency where her role involved creating actionable insights from digital data. Samantha's motivation is applying data analysis and machine learning to make informed decisions as well as solve business problems.

David Jeon

David graduated the past year in Mathematics and was accepted into a MPH - EPI, but decided to stay in Calgary and pursue a career in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Gagan Kapoor

The Machine Learning Team Lead role gives Gagan a great chance to give back to the community by directly helping early data science professionals and boosting Alberta’s tech sector. And above all, Gagan describes his colleagues as amazing and make the Applied AI Lab a fun and exciting place to work!

Yoones Vaezi

Yoones enjoys being able to contribute to ML skill development across different fields and industries and also to learn and practice many tools and gain experience in both technical and leadership aspects. About the AltaML Applied AI Lab:

Our Internship experience is unique and designed to give you hands-on experience working with partners and real data to launch you into your data science career. Within each cohort you will learn to solve real world industry problems using data and applied AI. Alongside AltaML Team Leads you will be guided through defining opportunities, developing models, and providing detailed recommendations to industry partners.

The AI Lab has a new Cohort launching every January, April, July, and October.
