Five Good Ideas: Strong governance for strong organizations

Many organizations, both profit and not-for-profit, are focusing their attention on the importance of strong governance. In an environment where securing funding is becoming increasingly difficult, two words dominate the discussions: transparency and accountability. This Five Good Ideas session will look at why transparency and accountability are considered to be two central pillars of good governance and how we can achieve both in our organizations. The session will focus on process and implementation – what are the best processes to ensure effective governance and how best to implement change to ensure the stability of the organization.  An organization built on strong governance principles will not only deliver on its mission, but it will be there to do so long after today’s agents of change have left their mark.
