AI and the Hierarchy of Human Needs - Nathalie Crosbie - Director, AI Strategy - BMO

To be of true value to humans, the areas to which AI are applied should correspond - in priority, in type, and in degree of focus - to the human hierarchy of needs.

In this talk, Nathalie will provide an overview of the AI landscape as it currently maps to human needs. She’ll walk us through how the present degree of focus, and the percentage of solutions, in AI, compare to the priority and ‘size’ of common human needs. She’ll then share perspectives on what is working well and not in this current state, and what we should stop, start and continue.

Bio: Nathalie Crosbie drives strategy, delivery, business development, and customer success for the enterprise-wide AI-Technology team at the Bank of Montreal. She is also an Advisor/Coach for startups and individuals, including entrepreneurs and founders with Ryerson University's Social Ventures Zone (SVZ) Incubator. Nathalie has fifteen years of experience in tech providing strategy, product, UX, and people leadership to create award-winning experiences. She has served as a consultant to AI startups in fintech, legal tech and health, and held leadership roles focussed on User Experience Design, Product and People for well-known Canadian companies like Shopify and Rogers. Nathalie is also a passionate advocate for inclusivity in tech. Find her:

Achieving True Test Automation with AI - Ramandeep Lehal - Founder at Elecsoft Consulting Inc.

At Elecsoft we are exploring ways to automate all software testing related activities. This particular discussion is about automatically translating business and/or system requirements to test cases using AI. In the future, we’d use the tool to create automation test scripts and test data.

Bio: Raman is the founder of Elecsoft, a software consulting firm with focus on quality assurance and testing. He is continuously looking for ways to gain efficiency in all aspects of life and business. This has led him to work towards achieving true test automation by using AI/ML to automate tedious tasks in software development and testing.
