The second stop on Kat Burns' North American tour of non-traditional concert spaces, this show takes place at Tantramar, a nineteenth century farm outside of Eden Mills, Ontario. Tantramar is the site of the legendary Track & Field festival, and encompasses rolling hills, wide fields, and marshland; lots of space to roam and sink deeply within the trees and tall grasses. This particular performance will be held in a newly remade cottage-studio and will employ a 1908 Heintzman piano.

Founder of Forest City Lovers, and the exuberant Kashka project, Kat Burns will present sparse acoustic versions of songs from throughout her career. Ryan Carley, who has released multiple solo and band albums with Kite Hill and Ohbijou, will be playing selections from his previous projects, as well as new solo works.

The concert will from from 3 to 5 pm but attendees are encouraged to arrive as early as 12pm and stay later if they wish to walk in the fields, sit by the pond, or hike in the nearby woods. Audience members can bring a picnic to eat on the grass, and there will be a campfire for simple outdoor cooking.

By car the farm is about 20 minutes from Guelph and 50 minutes from Toronto. One can walk from Guelph to the farm via the Guelph Trail (Radial Line Trail) in about 1.5 hours. See the trail map here:

Please join us for this special event, the first public performance at Tantramar since 2007, and the beginning of a new tradition of live music in this beautiful space.
