Description

Join us on Monday, January 28th for the third annual Lower Mainland Museum Educators conference, Change Makers and Space Makers. The conference schedule is now live with our list of speakers and topics.

This conference aims to bring together staff and volunteers from museums, art galleries, science centers, and related organizations to examine lessons learned, discuss best practices, explore strategies for common problems, and network. This fun and interactive conference will include a keynote speaker, numerous breakout sessions, and complimentary snacks.

Reserve your ticket now! Stay tuned for details and updates on speakers and schedule updates. All people who register before January 14, 2019 will be entered into a prize draw!



FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public Transportation: Take the Expo Line to the New Westminster Station. It is a short walk from the station.

Parking: There is paid parking available onsite and nearby.

What can I bring to the event?

Please bring your reusable containers such as coffee mugs for the complimentary snacks and beverages. You are also encouraged to bring a notebook and writing utensils to take notes with if preferred.

Please note that lunch will not be included in this event in order to keep our conference prices low and accessible to more people in our community. Bring a packed lunch or be prepared to find food elsewhere during the lunch break. We are happy to provide recommendations for lunch options in the area. This year the lunch break has been extended to accommodate eating offsite.

Is lunch provided?

In order to keep our costs down and choose an accessible venue, we will not be offering a catered lunch this year. Please bring a lunch or be prepared to find lunch offsite. We have extended the lunch period during the conference to accommodate for this change. We will have sign up sheets for lunchtime discussion groups for those interested. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, printed tickets are not required. Email confirmation is recommended. We will ask for your name upon sign in.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. We will be asking you for more information on a separate registration and session selection form. Please keep your eye out for email updates.

Add your registration information to our survey after you have registered. You will recieve the link in your email with your confirmation.
