Local Brews + Global Views ft. CODE
Event Information
About this Event
Join us for a special International Development Week edition of Local Brews + Global Views — this time, for a conversation with Claire Bolton of CODE, an organization that works to promote every child's right to read.
Together, we'll learn how CODE partners with the Liberian WE-CARE Foundation to offer academic tutoring and mentoring in life skills to adolescent girls in primary school who are at risk of dropping out. As part of I Love to Read Month, we'll also hear more about their exciting work with Liberian authors and illustrators to develop culturally relevant children's books and spark a love of reading among children across Liberia.
Bring your coffee & questions and join us online for another 'from home' edition of Local Brews + Global Views, as Claire leads this important discussion about literacy and education.
We will be using Zoom to share this event online, and participants will receive a link by email after registering. Need to join by phone instead? Register and you'll receive the phone-in information.
