Event description

Description

London Family Court Clinic has conducted an evaluation on the benefits of service coordination for justice-involved youth living in poverty. With the support of our partners, we are about to embark on a new phase of this project: Skills and Supports for Better Futures. The goal of Skills and Supports for Better Futures is to increase coping strategies among youth and to help them in developing better self-regulation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. These are the building blocks for more successful engagement in positive activities, such as school and employment.

On March 28, join us as we share what we have learned about reducing poverty in the lives of youth, and to share our priorities for the next two years. Attendees will also learn about trauma-informed care, and see examples of how trauma-informed approaches can be used in practice.

Our Speakers:

  • Deb Matthews PhD, former MPP for London North Centre and leading advocate against poverty
  • Western University researchers
  • LFCC clinicians

Registration is required and capacity is limited
Lunch and refreshments will be provided
