Description

You are invited to b current performing arts' Long Table Series in celebration of Black History Month featuring B. Denham Jolly.

Author of the 2017 Toronto Book Award winning memoir, In the Black: My Life (ECW Press), B. Denham Jolly is an award-winning businessman, publisher, broadcaster, and civil rights activist. He was the founding president of the Black Business and Professional Association and later served as the publisher of Contrast and launched Flow 93.5, Canada's first Black-owned broadcaster.

This intimate event will host only 30 people on one long table who will enjoy a gourmet Ramen meal crafted by Artistic Director Catherine Hernandez (former caterer for the theatre community) followed by an in-depth conversation with B. Denham Jolly about his epic journey to being one of the most recognized Black civil rights activists in Canada.

6:30pm Doors open

7:00pm Dinner is served

7:30pm Reading from In the Black: My Life by B. Denham Jolly followed by discussion
