Event description

Description

Connect with other passionate water-minded folks during a Lost Rivers Walk in downtown Toronto. Join others from the Toronto Green Community, The Latornell Professional Development and Mentorship Program and Blue Drinks Toronto as we learn about Waterfront Toronto’s exciting Port Lands project – one of the largest infrastructure projects in Toronto’s history that will renaturalize the mouth of the Don River, create 40 hectares of green space and reduce flooding risks. We will be walking approximately 3 km from the mouth of the Don, past future Villiers Island to Corktown Common. Join us afterwards for some refreshments and networking at a nearby restaurant. We are limited to 30 spots, so book quickly to confirm your attendance!

Will meet at Cheery Beach TTC Stop at the foot of Cherry Street. Refreshments to follow at Betty's restaurant located at 240 King St. East. Suggested contribution of $5.00 each to help offset expenses.

Since we will be walking approximately 3km, it is recommended that you wear appropriate footwear. All walking will take place on level pavement.

Please visit the Lost Rivers Walks or Port Lands websites for more information about the walk and the project area.
