Lougheed House: Guided Museum Tours
Event Information
About this Event
Our doors are open and we are offering guided indoor tours to visiting guests of Lougheed House! In order to support safety, guided tours will be offered on a limited schedule for effective physical distancing. Space on each tour is limited to 6 people, and masks must be worn in order to participate in the tour.
Come experience the house and its History through the eyes of Lougheed House Interpreters. On your guided tour you will learn about the history of the House, the people who occupied it, and some of the behind-the-scenes stories we learned from researching the process of restoring the building over 15 years ago. Guests can also take in our festive Christmas decorations created by professional interior and theatrical designers. Our Shop will be open if you’re inspired to take home a unique gift item from one of our local artists and artisans.
Note: wearing a mask is mandatory for everyone visiting Lougheed House (in compliance with the City of Calgary Face-Coverings Bylaw). If you do not have a mask, you can purchase one at our Shop immediately upon entering the House.
Before you visit us, please read our new safety protocols and ticketing procedures.
To complete your experience, book a reservation for High Tea, Dinner or Brunch either before or after your tour, courtesy of Chef Judy Wood.
Cleaning protocols will be fully exercised between tours with ongoing touch point cleaning occurring during tours on a loop through the House.
Please note that once all tour spots are claimed we will not be able to admit any more guests onto our tours for that day. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we reopen our doors in a safe and considered manner.
Tickets for Self Guided Tours are also available during the museum's open hours.
Note: The ticket for your guided tour includes access to the house and does not need to be purchased alongside an admission fee.
