Event description

Description

Join Starhawk for a rare afternoon workshop and ritual in Victoria:

In these troubled times, our bright hopes can easily get lost in a sea of outrage, fatigue and distraction.

What stories are we telling and being told - about ourselves, about the world, about what is possible? These stories determine what images fill our minds, what possibilities we believe in, and what forces we set in motion. To make change, we must first envision it.

In this half-day workshop, at the height of the spring full moon, we will work to reframe our stories and to connect with our allies – both spiritual and mundane – who offer us enCOURAGEment and guide us to transform our world through our visions and actions. How do we come together in our diversity and our alliances, to support each other in our activism?

We will use the tools of magic: ritual, chanting, storytelling and trance, to feed our creative intentions and our connections with spirit and community.

This workshop is perfect for:

Pagans and non-Pagans

Activists

Artists and writers

Anyone who wants to recharge and stand in their power

~~~~~~
We respectfully acknowledge this workshop takes place on the traditional, unceded territory of the Lekwungen-speaking Coast Salish people as represented today by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.
Space is limited to 35 people. Please wear comfortable clothing and do not wear any scents (thank you!) The centre is wheelchair accessible. We may move outside for a spiral dance, so be prepared for indoor/outdoor movement. There are chairs available and a few cushions, and we encourage you to bring what you need to feel comfortable seated on the floor.
Sliding scale: $45-$95 ~ Please pay what you can afford.
