About this event
As the sun sinks below the western horizon on May 15th, an eclipsing moon will be rising in the east. The brightness of the evening sky will allow us to view a shimmer of the lunar eclipse. We will have telescopes set up to view the eclipse, the setting sun and spring constellations that will be slowly revealing themselves in the southern sky. In the RAO Interpretive Centre, we are presenting talks on cultural astronomy, Team Astro lunar eclipse videos and the RAO’s Indigenous Ways of Knowing Astronomy videos. Astronomers and Team Astro will be sharing their knowledge of the lunar eclipse phenomena and the wonders of the universe.
