Lunch and Learn with Multicultural Health Brokers (MCHB)

Multicultural Health Brokers Cooperative Ltd. (MCHB), is a unique workers cooperative created and operated by a group of 102 Health Brokers (Community Health Workers). Our Brokers come from immigrant and refugee backgrounds and serve families from over 27 different cultural and linguistic communities.

Our mandate is to support ethnocultural minority families and communities in attaining social and economic inclusion and wellbeing. The MCHB offers over 12 anchoring programs related to health education, holistic family support, community development and system advocacy. Our work is grounded in our evidence-based practice of “cultural brokering” which aims to nurture trusting and mutual relationships between our community members and others within formal and informal sectors.
