Emma O’Dwyer is the Vice President of Market Development and Corporate Affairs for The Matcom Group, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Emma has worked within her family’s organization throughout her life working her way up from data entry and reception to her current position, including being a key member of the executive team during all five acquisitions the company has done since 2005. After getting her MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business, she has focused her efforts on making The Matcom Group the premier industrial services company in Canada. As one of the few females in the room she is accomplishing this through her commitment, energy and enthusiasm for the success of family businesses and SMEs in Canada. With ongoing shortages of skilled trades people, Emma is dedicated to uncovering talent in traditionally underrepresented segments of the workforce. Ensuring that the rigging and transportation industry is stronger and healthier for the future is Emma’s personal passion and business goal.
Jeff Noble is Director & Practice Leader of Business Transition Services in the BDO Special Advisory Services Group. A highly trusted professional with many years of facilitation and coaching experience, he helps leading business families, private companies and not-for-profit organizations effectively deal with the transition from one stage of their business lifecycle to the next.
As a fourth generation who spent several years working in his family’s firm, he thoroughly understands the dynamic challenges facing privately-owned businesses.
Over the past 20 years, Jeff has applied his knowledge and experience to help successful organizations adapt a truly holistic approach to planning and preparing for the future. He has become renowned for his expertise in business strategy, value enhancement, successor development, management transition, and governance structure. In 2003, Jeff earned the designation Certified Management Consultant. The CMC is globally recognized as the highest standard of consulting and adherence to a code of professional conduct.
