About this event
Bring your own lunch and listen to a 20-minute presentation from the speaker, followed by Q&A and discussion.
About the Presentation:
Local government is the closest level of government to people and yet many do not vote or care about municipal politics. What would happen if we cared about local elections the way we care about federal and provincial elections? What would happen if we built cities where everyone felt like they belong and we created urban spaces that work for the most vulnerable and marginalized? This Lunch & Learn session will outline why Local government matters and why an Intersectional analysis is critical to making cities work better for everyone.
