8:00 am – 8:15 am: Host Introduction (ITC): Introduction and welcoming.

8:15 am – 8:25 am Safety Partner Introduction (MADE SAFE): Introduction and welcoming.

8:25 am – 9:00 am: Regulations and Standards (Workplace Engineering Solutions): Outline of applicable regulations and standards, updates on changes. Outline of the machine safeguarding process.

NETWORKING BREAK – 9:00 am - 9:15 am

9:15 am - 10:00 am: Safety Circuit Design (Omron):How to design safety circuits, examples of common ones.

NETWORKING BREAK – 10:00 am - 10:15 am

10:15 am – 11:15 am: Safety Doesn't end at the wire (Ross): Pneumatic hazards are often hidden or not fully evaluated in risk assessments. We will discuss types of hazards, how they can be addressed and common misapplied practices in fluid power.

LUNCH BREAK – 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Risk Assessment and Hazard Recognition (Workplace Engineering Solutions): Demonstration of WESguard.

Fixed Guarding (Skeans/Frameworld): A demonstration of the application, allowing participants to see up close how it works. Review of how it must be applied to meet standards.

Presence Sensing (Omron): A demonstration of a few applications (mat, light curtain, scanner?) and how it must be applied to meet standards. Full safe guarded control system demo.

Machine Lockout (Ross): A demonstration of a few applications (pneumatic, hydraulic) and how it must be applied to meet standards.

Robotics (Skeans - Universal): A demonstration of how the Universal Robot can work with applications.

MADE SAFE: Setup of their info booth. Lockout demonstration from SAFE WORK.

ITC: Information booth.
