Macramé Angel Ornament Workshop

Join our workshop and master the art of crafting a stunning Macramé Angel Ornament. This beginner-friendly pattern welcomes all, regardless of previous macramé experience. We'll delve into the fundamentals, exploring knots like the Double Half Hitch and the Gathering knot, which will be the building blocks for creating your exquisite hanging angel.

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is pay what you can! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

My name is Nicole, co-founder of Bochiknot and a self-taught macrame artist. Several years ago, I went searching for the perfect decor piece for my home and little did I know the fibre wall hangings I loved were called macrame. Bochiknot came about through my love of boho chic fashion and décor as well as my passion for knotting and everything about it. My ultimate goal is to inspire and to be inspired through teaching macrame. You'll find step-by-step DIY macrame tutorials by Bochiknot on Instagram, Youtube and Patreon.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.
