Event description

Description

Welcome to the second concert from our “Magisterra at the Museum” series! This concert features accessible new music by a number of (mostly) Canadian composers and includes works by London-based composers, Jeff Smallman and David Myska.

Do not be intimidated by the fact that this is a program of "new" music! Magisterra Soloists is committed to bringing you great music from both past and present composers and we are confident that this program has something for every musical taste!

We are thrilled to be presenting a program of music written for our time, by artists working in our time. Come and support our local artists and celebrate the participation of a few of our Magisterra Fellows! We hope to see you there!

J. SMALLMAN: Serenade for Strings

D. MYSKA: Con Sequenza for violin and viola

K. PENDERECKI: Cadenza for solo viola

G. DIRIE: Horizonte Abierto for two violins
