What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is free parking at Maiwa East. Lectures are held in the NetLoft building, half the workshops are held in the Miawa Loft (second floor) of the NetLoft building. The NetLoft is on Granville Island and subject to Granville Island parking regulatons. 3 hours free parking per day between 7am and 7 pm. Granville Island has free parking between 7pm and 7am.

What's the refund policy?

Cancellations on or before July 15, 2017, will be charged a $35 fee.
Cancellations after July 15, 2017, receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations after July 31, 2017, do not receive a refund.

Students who are unable to attend a workshop may elect to send a qualified replacement if they notify
Maiwa in advance. Maiwa reserves the right to cancel classes due to instructor illness or unforeseen
circumstances. In the unlikely event of a class cancellation, Maiwa’s liability shall be limited to a
refund of class fees. Maiwa shall not be responsible for airline tickets, hotel reservations, travel costs, or
other expenses.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Maiwa in advance. Tickets for Lectures and Events are transferable.

Each year the Maiwa School of Textiles hosts over 100 workshops in its spring and fall sessions. We also run the Maiwa Textile Symposium: a collection of lectures, exhibitions, and events with an international roster of presenters. The Maiwa School of Textiles is located in Vancouver, on the West Coast of Canada. 

Reflecting Maiwa’s deep commitment to artisans and culture, the Maiwa School of Textiles is one of the most vital centres for learning both contemporary and traditional fibre arts.
