Make it Accessible@Source – PowerPoint Basics

About this event

In today’s current environment, digital inclusivity is more important than ever. Creating accessible content is a key strategy for improving the reach of our information and responding to the evolving needs of the public and our colleagues. It also supports our commitment to create and nurture a respectful, equitable, accessible, diverse, and inclusive (READI) workplace.

Join the Accessibility & Inclusion Unit’s Accessibility Business Advisor – Stacey Hernden and learn how easy it can be to remove barriers and create accessible content at source using Microsoft PowerPoint.

In this 1.5 hour virtual session, you will build on the skills you learned in the ‘Accessible Word Content 101’ session and learn how to apply those skills within Microsoft PowerPoint to create accessible presentations. Participants will learn how to set up your basic presentations, layout and design using PowerPoint Slide Master and how to test for accessibility. This session will continue your journey on the path to removing information and communication barriers for your colleagues and the public.
