Event description

Description

We all know how incredibly important a strong social media presence is to our brand and just how powerful this can be. We can grow awareness, connect with customers and clients in a whole new way, and gain valuable insights about our business. But in 2018, the rules of engagement look completely different than in years past. Changing algorithms, frequent app updates, and new pracitces can make it difficult and frankly daunting to feel like you're making any headway. And frankly, it can feel like a huge time suck and yet another task to accomplish each and every day. Right?

Not always. Not necessarily. Through our own experiences working with brands and social media, we've developed an au natural method to navigate this technology madness. We've put together a full afternoon to bring to you the method we bring to our retainer clients. Whether you're an entrepreneur, small business owner, blogger (or aspiring blogger), or a marketing manager looking for new ideas – let us help you ease into your digital presence. Let us help you create impact that future customers won't be able to swipe past.

No bots. No pushy, impersonal emails on how to get more followers. And absolutely NO need to stress.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

Through our three hour workshop, we'll dive deep into the guiding principles of how to create your very own strategy for growth on Instagram. We'll cover the following areas:

  1. Defining your brand (who are you, what do you stand for, what messages do you want to share)
  2. How to create a look & feel and determine your brand voice
  3. How to identify your brand's competitive advantage, both on social and IRL
  4. How to create goals and measurable KPIs
  5. How to create a stellar content strategy (including content pillars of focus, content ratio, and hashtag guide)
  6. Today's best practices for engaging your community and attracting a new audience
  7. Tools we recommend to clients to help with content planning and monitoring

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

This is a very intimate workshop with only 12 spots – meaning you'll benefit from a collaborative environment where questions are welcomed and encouraged. Here's what you'll take away from the workshop:

  1. A roadmap to create your own branded strategy for Instagram, including a free worksheet to use during the class
  2. A Q+A session at the end of the workshop. We're happy to answer any questions at all! We believe that the best advice we can give is the advice that is tailored specifically to you and your goals.
  3. A free 30-minute consultation (via telephone) with us, following the workshop. We know how inspiring it can be to attend these kind of conferences and events, but let's be honest – it can be overwhelming to apply all that you've learned. This is our value add to you: we'll set you up with a 30 minute call anytime within 2 weeks of the workshop. This will give you time to digest what you've learned and ask those questions that sometimes don't come up until you're in the midst of things.
  4. Goodie bag with a few gifts from our sponsors!
  5. Delicious treats to nibble on and healthy drinks to sip on during the workshop.
  6. A chance to meet with other entrepreneurs and make new connections.

MEET YOUR HOSTS:

Ashley Cassidy Seale, founder and creative director, Ruby Social Co.

INSTA: @rubysocialco + @ashleycassidyseale

Ashley Cassidy Seale is a spirited communications connoisseur with more than a decade of PR & marketing experience. Between her time in the agency world, helming teams and leading award-winning, national campaigns for lifestyle, fashion, and beauty brands to working in-house for designers + luxury retailers, Ashley has fine-tuned a truly holistic expertise. An early adopter of social media, she harnessed her digital know-how to build an online presence under the moniker Quaintrelle, which has since evolved from a lifestyle blog to a brand with workshops & events. Ashley and her work have been featured in top tier publications like Domino, Vogue.com, Town & Country, Wedding Bells, CBC, and The Globe and Mail. An influencer in her own right, she uses this unique perspective to thoughtfully navigate her clients into the spotlight.

As technology began to disrupt the media landscape, it was Ashley's early adoption of social media that made her stand out from her peers. Foreseeing the gap in the large agency model, Ashley was inspired to launch her own practice. Ruby Social Co. opened its doors in 2016, bringing an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, and nuanced perspective to her clients.

Lindsay Sganga, founder of the The Happy Place by Lindsay Sganga

INSTA: @lindsaysganga

Lindsay Sganga is millenial with a social media mission. After graduating from Journalism School she could feel the world was taking a turn when it came to media, and she knew she needed to be at the forefront of it, thus began her social media & digital career. When everyone around her was mastering print & television, her attention was on blogging, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. She made a space for herself in this digital industry at the young age of 20 from working with bloggers to becoming a digital editor at 22 years of age, but she didn’t stop there. Right in the height of the social media takeover she worked to create social media content and campaigns with companies such as Chevrolet and Topshop Canada as the Social Media Director at Toronto's, Notable Life Inc.

After a few years of incredible experience she realized something was missing. There was far too great of a space between her and the client, and she could no longer abide by the methods of traditional social media industries. So she decided to start her own company The Happy Place by Lindsay Sganga, where her platform is storytelling, her ethos is authenticity and her mission is investors over followers. Her mission today is to help you create a brand that can evolve with digital change. Her mission is to help you create a brand that can evolve with digital change. She provides you with the tools you’ll need to succeed socially. She is your social media guru, but fundamentally, her goal is to help you harness your brand’s power- since no one can tell your story better than you.
