Event description

Description

Make Some Noise presents Witch Prophet live in the stacks!

Witch Prophet is a queer, Ethiopian/Eritrean, singer/songwriter, the Co-Founder and Director of Toronto based collective/ label 88 Days Of Fortune, and member of feminist based electro dub hop group 'Above Top Secret'. Her album The Golden Octave was released earlier this year - a soundscape of vocal layers, loops and harmonies on a bed of hip hop, jazz and soul inspired beats.

Mighloe is a rising artist from the suburbs, making waves in the city. With soulful vocals influenced by the likes of Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu, she is on her way to the top. She’s making her mark on the Toronto R&B scene with her alternative neo-soul vibes. Mighloe’s recent release “Love/Hate” is an alluring story of a sweet love gone sour. Her music is a mix a fantasy and reality loaded with metaphoric imagery.

Free. All ages.

Disclaimer: As Make Some Noise events are free, it is our policy to overbook. In case of a full program, your ticket reservation may not guarantee admission. We recommend you arrive early.
