Description

Want to contribute to the Yukon's crowd sourced avalanche safety products but not sure where to start?

This introductory workshop will not only introduce you the quick and dirty snowpack observations, the pros use to help them assess avalanche conditions and choose appropriate terrain, but also how to effectively share these observations over the Mountain Information Network.

If you've got your AST Level 1, 1-3 years backcountry ski or snowboard experience, typically arn't the leader in your group but want to be able to contribute more in decision making processes then this is the workshop for you.

This workshop is only open to members of the Yukon Avalanche Association who have submitted an observation to the MIN in the last year (we know who you are!). If you're not already a member sign up here: http://www.yukonavalanche.ca/membership
