Event description
As things begin to open back up, they aren’t returning to normal. And it’s hard to know what the months ahead will look like.

About this Event

Toronto Common has partnered with mental health professional Bryn Bamber to offer a special workshop to help people work through these challenging times.

Toronto Common has always been about building community + experiencing something new, and while we have often gravitated towards food events in the past, as we navigate these changing times, we will be offering a wider variety of events online both to help connect + support our community + to support our local businesses looking to pivot + share their knowledge with a new audience.

Trained in Core Energetics, Bryn helps people find the connection between body and mind through movement, meditation, + self-reflection.

As things begin to open back up, there may still be challenges ahead and change can often make us feel anxious whether that be about:

  • Your financial situation
  • Your loved ones
  • The virus
  • Racial injustice
  • Being stuck at home for months on end

Your anxiety makes sense + we want to help you work through it in a constructive way through movement, meditation + self-reflection.

2020 is a year none of us expected. You’ve never done this before but you can learn proven techniques + skils developed to help people cope with anxiety + change.

Share your fears and struggles and connect with others who are also navigating this challenging time.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Be led through an exercise that’ll help you to connect with your anxiety and begin to heal
  • Learn tools and strategies that will help relieve your anxiety so you can connect to feelings of groundedness and joy even during these difficult times

About the Facilitator:

Bryn Bamber is a mental health professional trained in Core Energetics which incorporates the body, mind and spirit. She’s a yoga and Kundalini and Dreams teacher. And she struggled for years with crippling anxiety and perfectionism. Through yoga, meditation and Core Energetics she learned how to significantly reduce her anxiety levels and now is so passionate about helping others overcome their anxiety.

Her technique incorporates somatics, breath, meditation and exploring the childhood experiences that have contributed to your current stress levels, so that you can permanently change your relationship with anxiety.

Toronto Common is working with businesses in the city to offer a new series of virtual events during these challenging times.

We will be working with new event partners to offer a wider variety of events at the best value possible understanding that many businesses are working through a period of transition.

Our better than regular price guarantee is on pause while we work with businesses to define these new events since most of these events are new and do not have a regular price.

Participants will need to have access to Zoom and the internet during the event.

If possible wear comfortable clothes and be in a private space where you can stretch and move.

Please have video on if possible so that you can connect to the others in the workshop.

At the beginning of the workshop we will create a confidentiality agreement with all group members that asks that everything shared during the workshop is kept confidential.

Confidentiality is a shared responsibility between all participants, so you are welcome to share about your experience in the workshop and you are asked to not share any identifying information about other participants.
