A half-day session to learn the basics of claims preparation, submission, analysis, evaluation and approval.

About this event

Construction projects can be complex operations. Many involve numerous stakeholders with a variety of competing interests. Regardless of whether you are an owner, contractor, subcontractor, or consultant, you need to be aware of why claims arise and how to properly submit a claim to make it easy for the receiving party to understand and deal with it.

This half-day workshop will teach participants how to properly prepare, submit, analyze and evaluate, and approve claims. Participants also will be given opportunities to apply the concepts to an actual construction claim.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Formulate best way to present a construction claim to the receiving party
  • Compose claims that will be easily accepted by the receiving party
  • Recognize the best way to review claims
  • Choose the most appropriate approach to resolve construction claims
  • Predict acceptability of a submitted claim

This course will be delivered in one half-day session (3:00pm to 6:30pm Eastern time) on November 26, 2021.
