At the end of child baring years, women will transition to perimenopause, then menopause, and lastly postmenopause. During these transitional stages, hormonal imbalances can occur which can cause unpleasant symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, weight gain, and fatigue. Factors such as diet, lifestyle, weight, toxins, genes, the environment and medication all play a role in regulating our hormones which can decrease or increase these symptoms.
