Event description
This workshop provides parents of teens an understanding of stress and stress-reducing strategies. Focus is placed on COVID-related stress.

About this event

This online parenting workshop focuses on:

  • what is stress and anxiety
  • the impact of stress on the body and functioning
  • signs of stress and early identification
  • common stressors
  • healthy versus unhealthy coping strategies
  • stress-reducing strategies for caregivers and their teens (ages 12-17 years old).
  • A particular focus will be placed on the stressors related to COVID-19.

This workshop is offered free of charge to parents/caregivers of Peel District School Board (PDSB) and Dufferin-Peel District Catholic School Board (DPDCSB) students. The workshop will be facilitated by Mental Health Professionals from Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP).
