Event description

Description

Drawing upon McMaster’s expertise in the field of international and comparative public policy, the conference seeks to unpack the global dimensions of policy in order to bridge the gap between international relations, international political economy, and public policy. In doing so we investigate how ‘the global’ – including the institutions, actors, structures, and ideas which underpin it – intersects with regional, national, subnational, and local jurisdictions to produce particular policies and outcomes.

The conference provides students with the ideal setting to connect with fellow students and faculty in their area of research, which can help foster networks and ongoing collaborations. The conference will further include a professional development workshop designed specifically for graduate students interested in the academic and non-academic job markets.

Thank you to all our partners: The Department of Political Science at McMaster University, the Canada Research Chair in Public Policy and Globalization, Institute for Globalization and the Human Condition, Engineering and Public Policy Program, the Centre for Climate Change, the Gilbrea Centre for Studies in Aging, and The Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis
