Event description

Description

In an age of increasing disenchantment with existing forms of global politics and international policy coordination, how are we to understand the role global relationships play in policymaking? How should academics and policymakers navigate this new landscape? Mapping the Global Dimensions of Policy 8: Global Policy and the Discontented, McMaster University’s eighth annual Graduate Conference draws upon McMaster’s expertise in the fields of international and comparative public policy to unpack the global dimensions of policy and bridge the gap between international relations, international political economy, and public policy.

The conference will be held March 8-9 in Hamilton, Ontario, and this year we are excited to welcome Dr. Judy Fudge (McMaster School of Labour Studies) and Dr. Hayden King (Ryerson University, Yellowhead Institute) as plenary speakers. The conference will also feature a closing roundtable and exciting presentations of cutting-edge research by our participants.

Day 1 will be held in downtown Hamilton at McMaster University's Centre for Continuing Education (1 James St. North). Day 2 will be held on campus in L.R. Wilson Hall.

For more information on the conference, please see our website.
