March Affinity Group- Thinking of Becoming a Parent

Balancing Act’s March 2023 Affinity Group is directed towards artists and arts workers who are thinking of becoming a parent.

From financial considerations, to professional concerns and personal challenges, the prospect of becoming a parent can seem very daunting, even before the physical experience comes into play.

We are joined by Actor and Director Courtney Ch'ng Lancaster and Community Artist and Teacher Julia Hune- Brown who have both recently become parents to share their experiences and learnings and also respond to questions from those in the room.

We recognize that this can be a vulnerable time. Balancing Act’s Affinity Groups are a confidential, peer support, friendly, ‘come when you can and as you can’ spaces. Blessyl Buan will be present as an Active Listener to support the room.
