Description

Join the Central Alberta CPA Chapter for breakfast for our AGM on May 23rd. Shelley Bischoff will be speaking on how medical marijuana accommodation risk is emerging as an issue for employers. This session will discuss municipal, provincial and federal legislative policy, substantiating the need for accommodation, valid cannabis prescribing guidelines, testing protocols and work considerations.

Shelly is the Founder and Director of Ptolemy & Associates, an Occupational Health Consulting firm based in Calgary. She is a Registered Nurse, Canadian Certified Occupational Health Nurse, Chartered Professional in Human Resources in Canada and a Certified Health and Safety Consultant with over 20 years experience in the areas of Occupational Health, Safety, Wellness and Disability Management. Shelly is also a certified Psychological Health Advisor with the Canadian Mental Health Association/ She consults with both public and private sector organizations is a National speaker in her areas of expertise. Shelly is also an instructor with the University of New
Brunswick online OHS certificate, diploma and Occupational Health Nursing programs.


Central Alberta CPA Chapter will also be hosting their annual general meeting following the presentation. They will be discussing the past year's activities, financial standing and what next year looks like. The Chapter will also be seeking anyone interested in volunteering for the chapter or interested in becoming a board member.
