Marine Museum Public Information Session
Event Information
About this Event
The Marine Museum is holding a public information and engagement session to discuss the opportunity to create an enclosure for a new Museum Ship at its historic property at 55 Ontario Street.
We invite members of the public to attend this information session and share their feedback on the proposed project. This session will include an update on the SS Keewatin from the Museum's Chairman, Chris West, a presentation by the Capstone Project Team, including members of the Museum's Board of Directors, and will invite members of the public to ask questions and share feedback on the proposed enclosure.
The Museum has partnered with Queen's University's School of Engineering on a 4th year Capstone Project to research a proposed enclosure for the SS Keewatin (a potential Museum artefact) that would protect this heritage artefact for generations. Please note the acquisition of the SS Keewatin has not been finalised and the Museum is still awaiting notification on the outcome of their Canadian Heritage application.
This session will be conducted over YouTube live-stream.
