Description

What if it says sold-out?

No need to bring a ticket, just come! The RSVP helps us get a sense on how many people will come and it will also send you a reminder of the event. If it says sold-out and not letting you RSVP - no worries! Please come! There is always lots of space but please note that only the first 40 people will get swag bags.

The Markham Wellness Circle encourages Markham residents to cultivate health and well being through education and activities that are focused on the three elements of wellness: body, mind, and spirit. All events are free!

Hear from a panel of four Markham experts who will discuss the topic, do 15-minute presentations/demos/activities, and then answer questions from the audience as a panel. You will leave with ideas you can put into practice and a free ‘swag bag’ from Markham wellness businesses. Free door prizes will also be drawn for attendees.

Our panel members

Karen Pitt CEPC, RHC - Eating Psychology Health Coach
Karen helps people connect the dots between the things they do every day with how it's creating their daily experience. As the guide on the side, she supports them to take back control of their health to achieve sustainable behaviour change through the lens of simple food, body and lifestyle habits customized to fit into their life so they can discover the power within themselves to change their experience and live their best life. Our bodies are our biggest ally. They are always speaking to us. Due to this busy world we live in with its many distractions, we often don't hear or understand the messages its sending us. Karen teaches people tools and techniques on how to listen to their own unique body wisdom and explore the connections between the brain, the body and the resulting behaviour - not just to identify them but how to use that information to achieve inevitable success with their goals. Together they discover why food is only half the story of good nutrition as the other half is who we are as eaters.

Dr. Juliana Rosario Yeung, Natropathic Doctor

Dr. Rosario Yeung, ND is a certified Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Unionville, Markham. She has special interests in mental wellness and stress management, hormone balancing, and anything related to women’s health.

She believes that one’s environment – be it physical, mental, emotional, social or spiritual – is the key to wellness and sometimes the source of illnesses too. She understands the mind-body connection and how emotional states are an integral part of one’s holistic health. Juliana values disease prevention and health promotion by utilising naturopathic tools such as botanical medicine, nutrition, counselling and acupuncture, among other treatments. Juliana has a passion for sustainable solutions for health. Eating is part of everyone's daily routine; it makes sense that changes start from there!

Sukainia, Holitistic Nurtritionist from Health and Food Junkie

Sukainia enjoys being in the kitchen modifying everyday recipes with a healthy twist that are simple and delicious.
