Marmoris:

Marmoris (n.)

- The shining surface of the ocean.

The music of Marmoris is drawn from the sonic prints of indie and alt styles. They are a family collaborating with one another to share their life stories and experiences.

Their dynamic sound together with their captivating live performances have attracted interest in the greater Vancouver area. Whether it is soulful songs or hype-up tunes, each song is inspired by a unique set of emotions. Since 2021, Marmoris has released their first EP “High and Simplified” and played at a variety of venues, including Guilt and Co, the Roxy , Portside Pub and many more. Currently the band is working on their first album, so stay tuned!

SUGARFUNGUS:

Apt to their name, SUGARFUNGUS has been releasing bedroom pop productions that capture sugary sweet vocal hooks floating on top of dreamy grooves since 2021. The so-called Vancouver, Canada based collective’s music can best be described as HighClouds blog puts it: “Dancy dreampop for the haunted and heartbroken.” The band released their first EP entitled “Letting Go, Moving Still” on January 26, 2022. The EP presents a set of warm and fuzzy tracks that blend bright guitar lines and atmospheric synths, all the while punctuated by pop-driven hooks that capture the feeling of drifting in and out of a state of sweet, mushroomy bliss. For a band inspired by science, nature, and art, the idea of stitching pieces of different organisms together to evolve into something infinitely funkier, more brilliantly alive is a fitting metaphor.
