The MarCom Toolkit

3 workshops, 4 hours each
This series of workshops runs on March 20, 27, and April 3.


Entrepreneur's Toolkit Workshops are hands-on sessions brought to you by experienced entrepreneurs.

Get the tools, mentoring, and peer feedback you need to solve specific problems and develop essential business components.

In each four-hour workshop you will generate a deliverable that you can actually use in your business development process.




Workshop Schedule


Workshop 1: Identify and Define Your Target Audience
March 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This workshop introduces the MarCom Strategic Framework and focuses on two key elements: defining your target audience and establishing credibility.

Deliverable: A strategy that helps you target a particular market. You'll also focus on identifying and engaging with key thought leaders to enhance your credibility and build a reputation as a leader in your field.


Workshop 2: Evaluating Channels
March 27 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Align your marketing objectives with your customer buying process, while examining a variety of marketing channels and activities. Evaluate and select the channels that resonate with your target audience.

Deliverable: A brand positioning statement and selection of relevant marketing activities and media channels that will appeal to your market.


Workshop 3: Communicating to Customers
April 3 from 9:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.

The final section will focus on developing your message. Explore communications techniques, identify relatable language for your target market, and adapt the message across selected media to efficiently and effectively reach your customers.

Deliverable: A series of clearly structured messages, plus development of a media selection template and the core components of a media kit.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and workshops begin at 9:00 a.m.




Cost of Workshops

The Entrepreneur's Toolkit Workshops cost $100. There are two different ticket types:

1. ONE Client Refundable Deposit

Purchase this ticket if you are a client of a regional innovation centre (Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs). When prompted on the registration page, please list the regional centre where you are a member and your current advisor’s name. You will be refunded your full ticket price upon completion of our post-workshop survey at the end of the workshop series.

2. General Attendance Fee (Non-refundable)

Purchase this ticket if you are not currently a member of a regional innovation centre.

*If you are unable to attend a workshop, please let us know four business days in advance. We regret that failure to do so may result in the loss of your deposit.

**The post-workshop survey must be completed within four days of the last day of a workshop series for a registration deposit or discount to be refunded.
