How do you stand out to gain the funding you need to grow your business?
This workshop series will help you to understand how to create a powerful pitch that you can use to engage investors.
In each four-hour session you will generate a deliverable that will help you create a successful pitch.
This workshop is ideal for startups that are ready to engage investors and gain external sources of funding.
How to Apply
There is no application or selection process for the Pitching workshops. Any venture interested in mastering their Pitching technique is welcome.
Step 1: Click "Ticket" and select the appropriate ticket type. A fee of $100.00 will be required from each participant.
a) If you selected "General Attendance Fee", please provide you company and a detailed description of your business in the registration form. Note that this ticket is not refundable.
b) If you selected "ONE Client Refundable Deposit", please list the regional center of which you are a member and your current advisor’s name. You will be refunded your $100.00 at the end of the workshop series and upon completion of our post-workshop survey.

Session 1 – What do investors & stakeholders want to know? // December 16, 2016 from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. in Collaboration Room 2
In this session, participants will focus on gathering and structuring the information required to effectively engage with investors. Using the essentials of effective communication, you will craft a compelling narrative that will help your venture to stand out in front of investors and other stakeholders.
Deliverable: A summary of the 10 key components that form your investment story.
Session 2 – Creating your pitch // December 23, 2016 from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. in Collaboration Room 2
This session will focus on creating a powerful narrative and pitch by applying the principles of storytelling. You will be given the opportunity to practice your pitch during the session and obtain feedback that will help you to turn your investment story into a compelling presentation.
Deliverable: A 10-slide pitch deck summarizing your key information.
Doors for this workshop open at 8:30am and facilitation begins at 9am.
