Neil Baldwin joins us to discuss Martha Graham: When Dance Became Modern, his biography of one of the most important artistic forces of the twentieth century. In conversation with dance artist Esie Mensah.

A legendary American dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham upended dance, propelling the art form into the modern age. Her technique, used by dance companies throughout the world, became the first long-lasting alternative to the idiom of classical ballet, and her profound and pioneering influence is still being felt today.

Question and answer session and book signing to follow. Books available for purchase.
