Since 1990, more than 1 000 000 students in Canada and the United States have participated in the Mathematica Contest and it is our hope that your child will participate this year. The contest is held on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at different Spirit of Math Schools campuses. For the contest, students scoring over the national average will receive the certificate of distinction, while all other students will receive the certificate of participation. A medal will be awarded to the champion of the contest. National plaques will be awarded to schools ranked in the first, second, and third places in Canada. Provincial plaques will be awarded to school provincial champions. Students who rank in the first, second, and third places in Canada will receive a medal resembling the Fields medal, the medal awarded to the greatest mathematicians in the world, that will have the student's name inscribed on the back. Provincial champions will receive the same medal. Each student participating in the Pythagoras, Euler and Lagrange who gets a perfect score will receive a US$250 merit scholarship to attend the international MathPath camp. Additionally, both national and provincial honour rolls for the best students and schools will be published online in June 2018. Note: The contestants will require to miss part of the school day on the contest day.

Spirit of Math Schools Burlington

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thanks for visiting our school’s page and welcome to Spirit of Math Schools Burlington! Our dedicated staff and exceptional teachers are here to serve Burlington’s brightest young minds so that they can achieve their true potential. Our classes are offered at Trinity Christian School on Itabashi Way (Appleby Line and Upper Middle Road) which provides great setting for our classrooms where our teachers train the next generation of exceptional thinkers and problem solvers. We are very of proud of our friendly staff and amazing teachers who are here to provide a sense of community to all parents and their children. Our students achievements in national and international math competitions are the best proof of how the right environment can help young students rise to the top. Although our focus is on teaching math and problem solving, our curriculum is designed to teach our students other essential life skills such as cooperation, collaboration and communication. Most of our new students are referred to us by parents of our current students who like to extend this opportunity to their loved ones. We would like to extend an open invitation to all parents to drop by for a visit and see how their exceptional children can experience the Burlington’s premier education program.

Sincerely,

Mohammad Rezai,

Ph.D. Principal and Co-owner, Burlington Campus
