MAUSIQI: GLOBAL JAM SESSIONS takes place at the welcoming and centrally located venue and community space Alternity. This exciting new programme, led by Lauren Barnett, runs the last Tuesday of every month in 2023.

The jam is women-led, and all genders are welcome. Each evening will begin with a short set by a featured musician, followed by an open circle jam, with dedicated time to socialize with your fellow participants, so you don’t need to squeeze that in as you enjoy listening to and participating in the evening’s music.

$10-$20 sliding scale at the door (no one will be turned away).

What to expect:

Immerse yourself in the live musical creations of musicians from around the world. Learn something new, hear a new language, discover a new instrument, be wowed by a singer you’ve just met – or amazed at your own newfound musical abilities! Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments, join the jam and use this as a networking opportunity, and non-musicians are encouraged to join in with one of the easy-to-play instruments we provide, or just sit back and enjoy the music.

All are invited to be a part of this all-inclusive community as we meet in a magical space and immerse ourselves in the world of music.
